Quite a short cinema, but get to see some great alternative films.

Lovely, very spacious and a cozy setting

Big Screen Portsmouth

Guildhall Square, Portsmouth PO1 2AL, UK – 023 9284 1413

It's a big screen that can be watched from the guildhall. They sometimes have screening events that are pretty cool.

Lots of great content including local videos and work from students at the University of Portsmouth. Also shows Portsmouth Uni Graduations in the summer.

Vue

Gunwharf Rd, Portsmouth PO1 3TA, UK – 0345 308 4620

Good cinema, great sounds System and excellent location. The VIP area doesn't show to much difference from the standard seats. Could be better in general!

Good cinema in a good location. 4 hours cheap parking with your cinema ticket. Refreshments expensive as I'm all cinemas. Very friendly staff today.

Theatres for Portsmouth

New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth

20-24 Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth PO1 2DD, UK – 023 9264 9000

This historic theatre is beautiful, and has a lovely cafe which is a perfect place to meet friends, have meetings. The programming is really varied, so there is something for everyone to enjoy. I have been visiting very regularly for 8 years (excluding the renovation period of closure) and have been consistently delighted. Come to enjoy the New Theatre Royal and you will be supporting the theatre itself and the dedicated work of volunteers, staff and the theatre's network of local and national artists of many disciplines that all work towards making it a wonderful treasure for Portsmouth. This theatre strongly supports the creation of new art and is investing its efforts in the local community and education, please support New Theatre Royal by visiting so that it can continue in its excellence.

I visited the cafe to meet family and was delighted by the carefully prepared dishes. I found the staff extremely helpful and efficient. I would return here again.

Kings Theatre, Portsmouth

24 Albert Rd, Portsmouth PO5 2QJ, UK – 023 9282 8282

Lovely theatre & so reasonable priced compared to other places. Or same performance for stand up was £12 cheaper here and more intimate & better seats

Staff are fantastic, seats are a bit challenging but they have to make enough money to keep going and that means squeezing us all in, venue is great. Will go again and again.
