This is by far the friendliest gym in Portsmouth. All of the members of staff really care about the members and you can feel it every time you walk in. Loads of classes and great swimming pool and never too busy.
Well equiped and well laid out. Small compared with other Nuffields but everything you need is there, including cafe and sports bar. Staff were friendly and welcoming. All in all a good local fitness club.

It's OK but needs refurbishment, especially the changing rooms. Gym is very small but has everything you need (just be sure not to be there at peak hours!). Skinning pool and spa very nice!
Good staff. Sadly tatty and dirty place though.

I joined at the beginning of the month and was quite taken with the whole set up of the centre - it's great because it's on my way back home from work too. I've had sterling support at my time at the gym and took up personal training sessions which are really enjoyable. I found that I have received support from other personal trainers which is a really nice bonus. I can't fault this at all. I am a great lover of swimming. I really like this pool as it's dimmed and I appreciate that after hours in harshly lit office light. The times that I've been able to go swimming I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there. However (and this is a big however for me) I have come in twice this week to find that the main pool has no lanes so I'm not able to swim. The lane swimming and adults only are at obscure times where I don't have the time to access so I can only go on the weekends - for adults only which is preferable that means coming in rather early or late. Both are not ideal for a weekend to rest. My other gripe with the centre is that the women's changing rooms always seem to be filled with screaming children. I have nearly tripped over a couple of them running about and one child pushed the door shut so I couldn't access the changing rooms until the mum came to leave. I wouldn't mind children being in there if they behaved but a majority of time they aren't. A family changing area would be a good solution. Overall; I'm glad I joined - particularly for the gym. But the centre is child-centric and not very accommodating towards child-free adults.
The Gym is nice, good ambient and lots of space. there is lots of Fitness Equipment such treadmills and so on. You also can Swim or play Squash. It all depends of your use actually , the prices are around 39 quid per month on 12 months contract and if you need to cancel you need to give them 3 months notice what is not so good. about the equipment they are new and well maintained I just do not give them 5 stars because I thinks they could provide more Equipment Variety instead of those treadmills that no one uses. But is a good place to workout . Plenty of shower area and toilet space. the pool is good and not too busy.
