Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Portsmouth

Nemrut Restaurant

94 Albert Rd, Portsmouth, Southsea PO5 2SN, UK – 023 9275 6777

I love going to this restaurant. The food is always good and the staff are friendly and efficient. You can see the food being cooked, so this makes for a memorable evening. It is a small restaurant, so booking is a must! It is busy given lots of repeat customers!

A small restaurant with good service and most interesting food at reasonable prices worth a visit

Loch Fyne Seafood & Grill Restaurant

2 Vulcan Buildings, Portsmouth PO1 3BF, UK – 023 9277 8060

Overall, Superb! Wonderful evening meal, the food was excellent and the service was as attentive as anyone could wish for, despite the restaurant being extremely busy. We found it to be so good that we went back for lunch the next day and their in-house fishmonger also had our custom. A credit to them. Lovely outdoor area, very pleasant on a sunny evening!

We visited a few months back with friends and had an excellent meal with great service. My husband and I had a late lunch in there yesterday and we could not fault the food or the service. Great menu choice and cooked to perfection for us. The duty manager was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome as did the staff and all had a great sense of humour. The place itself has been done out to a very high standard and is keep clean & tidy. The toilets are the best I've seen in an eating establishment. Couldn't fault it, will be going back.

Bodrum Restaurant

165-167 Albert Rd, Portsmouth, Southsea PO4 0JW, UK – 023 9282 9707

Great food and fairly decent drink options. Everything is fair prices. I'm gluten free and they were very accommodating with a large selection of food gf sadly the chips and rice sides are not, but then kindly did some chips in the oven to go with my meal. They also do takeout options too. Very impressed and can't wait to visit again

A nice relaxed place to eat. The menu is vast but for large parties or for those unsure what to pick there are some good set menus. The decor is rustic and the traditional music was a little on the loud side. One of the pluses of this restaurant is the charcoal grill which makes the meat delicious, however it does mean that your clothes smell a little afterwards The main problem was the speed of service for our large group but of you are going as a couple I don't think that would be a problem.
